Record Your Screen With Your Voice
Below, the microphone is on and computer sound is off, the usual setup for a tutorial or walkthrough. Press Record, share what you want to show, and talk. The level meter shows your voice is coming through, and you watch it back before you download.
Set up for a voiceover: whole screen and microphone on, computer sound off.
A clear voiceover
For a tutorial, a bug report or a walkthrough, you usually want your voice and not your computer's notification sounds. Turn Computer sound back on if you are showing something that plays sound.
- Test first. Record 10 seconds, play it back and listen. The mic level bar moves while you speak.
- Pick the right microphone. Your browser uses its default; change it in the site's settings (the icon left of the address) if it is using the wrong one.
- Quiet the room. The recorder turns on your browser's noise suppression for the microphone, but a closed door helps more.
- Hide what's private. Share one window or a tab instead of the screen so notifications and other apps stay out.

Questions
Why is my voice not in the recording?
The microphone was blocked or the wrong one was picked. Allow the microphone for this site and check the mic level bar before you start; the recorder warns you if the microphone didn't open.
Can I add my voice and the computer's sound together?
Yes. Turn Computer sound on too, and the two are mixed into one track.
Can I record a voiceover in Safari or Firefox?
Yes. Both record your microphone with the screen; they can't record the computer's own sound.
Can I pause the recording?
Not yet. Stop and record again; each recording downloads as its own file.
